Many questions inform what I capture and develop through the lens.
Who, and what, interests me in the process of image making? Do I define my vision according to societal constructs? Am I a product of generational and gender based culture?
Mind and Matter involves artistic direction, performance, pop-culture references, and indeed many social connections in the making.
These diverse visual factors contribute to my blurring of otherwise familiar popular imagery: the shadows and surreal aesthetics captured in my original subjects inform and illustrate the final composition.
